Languages School

   Spateaching SL, started its activities in 2007, facilitating and training foreigners in courses of Spanish as a foreign language, English for the interested public, as well as French, Portuguese, Chinese, etc. The immersion activities in idioms (days of talks, meetings, conversation club, exhibitions, seminars, etc.), gradually, reinforce other skills such as grammar and vocabulary, bearing in mind students’ performance.

 

  In Equatorial Guinea, our school is a leader, having trained thousands of students and participants in the above mentioned languages.  All this, thanks to our unbreakable and neat reputation. These are some of the companies that operate in our country which have enjoyed our services and to this day, we maintain business relationships (Marathon, Ampco, Eglng, Noble Energy, Total Oil Company, Getesa, Mobil Equatorial Guinea, Slhumberger, Hess, ManpowerSupplier, Bange, Ecobank, Cceibank, Bgefibank, among others).

   The school works within the new Common European Framework of Reference, (CEFR) both in its methodology and in the curricular system, following the trajectory of institutions of the same nature such as: British Council, Cervantes Institute, French Alliance, Goethe Institute; always adapting to the Necessary needs and availability of course sponsors and funders. We develop our activities on our own Campus, as mentioned above, Autovia Malabo II, entrance of the Barrio Por Venir II. ImPerio DOSNJ’H’ Venue, with capacity for courses throughout the day, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM with a capacity of 5 classrooms, two administrative offices, a library, a Phonetic / Computer laboratory, a Resource Center. Likewise, Spateaching makes a difference by mobilizing its human, technological and academic team, moving to companies, institutions, Embassies, Ministries and offering them courses at home, to rhyme with the schedules of the institutions and thus avoid conflicts with their attitudes.

   A.   Mission. The Spateaching’s mission is to offer a high quality of teaching languages based on the International Standards including students on following purposes.  Satisfy the academic and professional needs of the interested parties on the language learning, improve communication in the respective languages, train students with the desire to take the international exams, such as: DELE, TOEFL, DELF, ETC …, for admission to international universities.

   B.  Visión. The vision of our school is that by 2030, it will become a recognized and accredited national, regional and international reference center training.

  C.   Objectives. Its objective is that any student who has taken our levels can apply it in any academy or international schools where they are.

​

D.  ​Teaching methodology.  Spateaching methodology prioritizes interaction and communication for its students, while grammatical, lexical, and vocabulary skills are evaluated in the background. According to the progress of each student, Spateaching works the two modalities of language teaching, both integrated and separate skills, always depending on the program model, the characteristics of the client and their degree of investment in the program. The classes developed from the SPATEACHING Campus focus on the dynamics previously mentioned, while the mobile or mobile classes at homes are developed for specific purposes and by specific skills, according to  the client’s needs.  At the beginning of the courses, teachers and students are given a syllabus / a well detailed academic program and everything related to the cycle and level; student expectations at the end of the level, additionally, students are given the corresponding manuals, dictionaries and disposal electronic resources. The Spateaching’ students   complement their classes with open conversation practices and workshops on the terrace organized for it, where each student must practice for two hours a week conversations and interactions with our associated conversation team.

E.   School instruction levels. Candidates who want to learn languages go through a rigorous Placement Test to assign them to the appropriate grade. The level test is made up of different modules: language use module, module of vocabulary, module of language composition, module of reading comprehension, module of oral / audio, module of oral or individualized interview.

   

   Spateaching, obviously following the above mentioned international standards, offers six levels of instruction. From A1 to C2 each level has its expectations adapted to the Common European Framework of Reference

F.   Orientation. Students who have successfully paid their enrollment receive an orientation session where they will be explained the work policy fess of the Spateaching center in the teaching of languages, which must be made clear to them and their scrupulous compliance with adhered to: class attendance, homework, class participation, punctuality. In the same order, they are trained in the handling of the legislation, and the subsequent consequences in case of enforced thereof.

 

G.  Accommodation: It is intended only for international students traveling to Equatorial Guinea to study at our school. In this regard, Spateaching organizes so that they can live with native host families for those who want it. Any international student will have to comply with the consular visa requirements to enter the country. Consequently, students must sign a code of conduct based on mutual respect between the school, the host family and the student.

H.  Course Timetable. The courses are based on their established hourly loads according to the international standards (NMRE, ALTE). The courses can be intensive or semi-intensive according to the availability of the clients; however, on the Spateaching campus the ordinary courses are developed in.

 

  • Semester courses May / October

  • Quarterly courses. Autumn October / December., Winter January / March., Spring April / June

  • Intensive summer courses. July, August, September.

I.   Admissions and visas. Only for international candidates. Candidates will meet all consular requirements for obtaining visa to Equatorial Guinea from the embassies and consulates of Equatorial Guinea found in their respective countries.  Additionally, they will need a Spateaching acceptance letter to undertake these processes. The Spateaching acceptance document will contain the following student information. Full and surname, passport number, course information and period of stay in Equatorial Guinea, proof of registration fee made by the candidate. At the end of the training period, the student will automatically return to their country of origin, while Spateaching is entitled to inform the Immigration Department about the status of the mentioned student/s. Therefore, their prolonged stay in the country out of the period of the Spateaching acceptance letter will be under the student’s responsibility, who will attend to the consequences of violation of the visa granting policy established in the country

J.   Class Cancellation Policy. Both in local and international courses, if a student, company, sponsor decides to cancel the classes, once they have registered and have paid the corresponding tuition, Spateaching will apply the following criteria of payments refund  to the affected clients, using the universal criteria of institutions of this nature:

  • 70% refund, if the course is canceled, at least 30 days before the starting date of the course

  • 50% refund if the course is canceled prior 20 days of the class starting date.

  • 0% Reinbourchement. There would be no refund if the course has been started. In the event that the visa processing processes have been initiated by the student. Speatiching will notify the corresponding embassy of Equatorial Guinea about the situation of the affected for its cancellation

 

K.   Expulsion: International students may be expelled from Spateaching and, of course will notify the immigration services about the abolition of their visa, once proven their inappropriate behavior. There will be no refund in such a case: the costs of returning to the country of origin, the payment of the damages caused, as well as the legal issues. All costs will be under the student's entire responsibility. Therefore, Spateaching will not be responsible for these occurrences.

  • ​Damage to physical facilities and technological equipment caused by the student in the training center.

  • Public display of xenophobic, ideological, racist activities or violent attitudes.

  • Participation and cohabitation in situations that compromise the policy of Equatorial Guinea, its authorities and enforced legislation.
